It's a TVR engine and "originally out of" your Tuscan.

It's not based on anything else.

It's definately a TVR engine unless someone has stuck something else in it? which actually might be a possibility. Can you hear a clock ticking when the ignition is on? if so it's an original TVR lump wink

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the question. How can you buy a Tuscan without knowing what powers it?

You are kidding rite? [sic]

My guess is that if you don't know the history of the S6, and think that "most" parts on a Tuscan are parts-bin then you will be in for a particularly unpleasant shock when you start asking for quotes to get it repaired.

Sorry to hear of your problems by the way.

i know what pwers it, its just my engine is basically knackered and i was just wondering if they bought so many engines of lets say bmw so if they did i could buy and engine for a bmw which has the same engine but it would be alot cheaper just because of the car because lets face it a part could cost £100 put a TVR logo on it and it near enough doubles.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, dude, but the only thing your engine is 'out of' is likely to be 'the warranty period'.

Timing chain might be a generic part if you are lucky. I'd start with a call to your nearest dealership...
