Want to do an oil change on my tuscan any advice

I'm going to do an oil change on my tuscan for the first time, i know its a dry sump so i have to let the car run and then empty the sump. other than this, is it strait forward to change the oil, is there anything else i need to do or look out for. how much oil am i likly to get out?
any advice please.
