sorry if it has been covered b4 and i am sure it has but i have been searching and searching the site and have looked at lots of posts but imo it is not as good as asking the questions yourself and begin chatting to people.

i am thinking of a tuscan or cerbera so i am doing my research b4 i go and get one of the two

my budget would only see a 01 maybe 02 (but not sure of when they became a mk2) plate tuscan, at this age i see them as a 3,6ltr or 4.0ltr variant, is there any pro's or con's to either engine i guess they perform about the same with not much in it but are there any major issues between the two, one weaker then the other etc etc,

if anyone can shed some light i would be very greatful

I've had both. The key thing is to get one with a good engine, be it 3.6 or 4.0. that has been properly looked after and maintained. Performance wise there is very little difference IMO.

With regard to models and engines this is about right I think.

Tuscan Mk1 - 4.0 litre 360 bhp 2000-2001
Tuscan Mk1 - 4.0 litre 360 bhp or 3.6 350 bhp 2002-2004
Tuscan Mk1 Red Rose - 4.0 litre 380 bhp 2000-2001 (some were modded to RR later)
Tuscan S Mk1 - 4.0 litre 380 - 405 bhp(depends on year) 2001-2004
Tuscan Mk2 - 4.0 litre 360 bhp or 3.6 350 bhp 2004-2006
Tuscan S Mk2 - 4.0 litre 380+ bhp 2004-2006

With regard to what they perform like on a six year old TVR the condition is probably as important as spec (if not more important).
