window only goes down when i turn knob

hi been going through all the window problem threads but not been able to find one like whats happening to my tuscan
open door all is fine window drops approx 30mm door opens close door window closes ,great
turn knob to down, goes down as per stages all fine but when i turn knob to put window up get click drops 10mm and with each turn same again. get out of car close door window raises by 30mm or so as should, put alarm on window closes up completely all fine and locked. passenger side no problems at all. any one got any idea's whats happening please . many thanks and take it easy on the winter roads

Hi,i had a similar problem as that, window would drop but never go up but also included the door opening on it's own as well,while driving on occasion.Luckily it was the drivers door so i could catch it.
It was intermitant,going on for about six months.Had it looked at a few times,thought they had sorted it but no.I changed the door ecu's over for a while and it started happening on the other door.(i had put a bungy on the door)Drivers door was fine.
So it might be worth switching them over to see if it changes and then you'll know if it's the ecu or not.I think a new ecu was £120.Easy job switching them.

this is one of the many tvr 'special features' that are present in every tvr but not mentioned in the manual .

door opens at 60 mph = special feature
window wiper falls off =special feature
windows with mind of there own =special feature
turn wipers on engine cuts out = special feature
and so on.


all joking apart they are still better than most 100k supercars
