Black & Decker Quick Start.... Anyone tried it on a Tuscan?
Discussion
I haven't used the B&D jobbie, but if your T2 is garaged with access to a mains supply, I'd go for an AccuMate trickle charger just to keep it topped up. You can get them from places like Leven http://www.leventechnology.co.uk
Might be worth checking why it drains though, unless you're talking a very long time without using the car. I had my T2 on the TVRCC stand at the MPH Classic Car Show the other weekend, and it spend the whole Saturday having windows and doors opened and closed constantly. It started first time on the Sunday evening with 12.4v showing on the pod (if that's to be believed).

Thanks Marco,Ive actually got a acumate charger, problem is that the charging socket underneath is weathered and the cable & connector have been snapped off. There is no more cable to pull through to extend and put on a new plug. In the meantime battery has gone flat as a pancake. Just thought the B&D simple start may do tthe trick untill i get time to replace the charging wire.
Cheers

plug it in the cig lighter Cheers

How bigs the cable to the cigar lighter.
I would be a little concerned about overloading that cable ?
I am looking for a solution for my flat battery problem which is due to leaving my Tuscan in an Airport car park regularly for three weeks at a time. I am looking to buy a solar battery charger.
The B&D solution may be the one for me too.

Hi all,
Just bought one. Wont know until next week if its any good.
It says its OK for cars up to 2litre ?!?!?!
Anyway, it discharges into your battery which takes 10 to 15 minutes and so is supposed to top your battery up.
I guess that this will at least help.
My only problem now is that my cars in Germany and I dont know if I can take the B&D magic box on the plane as it is basically a lead acid battery ???
