Help with Diagnostic software results - or lack of them
Discussion
A bit of background 1st.
I ran my car last week, ran fine. Turned her off and about 30 seconds later started her again and got efi warning on the screen. The car was running fine just had a warning up on the screen! Checked next day in case it was wet or cold causing a problem (after the car was in the garage all night) and still had a fault.
Got myself the diagnostic lead and software and connected to the car. I expected to see 1 or both of my lambda sensors faulty but got readings of about 0 - 1.2(ish) which is what the manual says it should read. Went to the the fault status screen and everything was reading as 'ok'.
OK... So I think this must be a false reading so I reset the fault log and the efi warning and buzzing stops.
So the next this was will it do it again if I switch the engine off and start her again. So tried this and all still celar. Fault status screen all showing ok.
Next thing was a test drive to get her up to temp and see if I get any faults logged.
Got back and plugged her in again and all was reading ok apart from the battery voltage. I know what this is, I have a lazy starter motor (due to be replaced) which I know has been dragging the battery down so hence a low voltage reading.
So did I have a faulse alarm? Am OK having reset the fault logs?
The only other thing is I get different readings on each of the Adaptive readings. One is about -9 and the other is about -17. Anyone know what this means and if it's a problem??
Cheers

Don't know if this will help or that it is right, but it is something i was once told. When an accumulative of five faults have been logged the MIL light will come on and the buzzer sounds (Cerbera) these faults could be a dip in voltage when starting the car and register a fault in the ecu, the ecu would then be reset and no faults shown for a while.
Like i say don't know if this is correct, but this seems to have happened to my mates and my Speed Six Cerbera's and once reset both have run for nearly a year now with no MIL trouble or any other troubles so this does bare true for us, make your own mind up whether correct or not.

Not wanting to hi-jack the thread but I remember reading recently that someone had the software and was going to e-mail it to someone else. If that someone reads this can I have a copy as well please ?
You can download the software from Herekevin63 said:

This could be my problem as I've had a problem with the starter motor for months now which I miss diagnosed as a battery problem. It's failed to start or the starter motor has turned very slow on a number of occasions so will have dragged the battery down and reported a low voltage to the fault log.Like i say don't know if this is correct, but this seems to have happened to my mates and my Speed Six Cerbera's and once reset both have run for nearly a year now with no MIL trouble or any other troubles so this does bare true for us, make your own mind up whether correct or not.
Lets hope it was this simple.
Shortlad,
Software won't run on my windows XP laptop i get the message
c:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for MS-DOS
and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
Any advice ? did you have to create a boot disk fo rthe software to run ??
Cheers
