Will this stereo fit in a Tuscan???

Just thinking will it clear the door buttons and fit in the radio hole slot?

You can plug ypur i-pod straight into it.

It should fit. Most car radios (this one included) are made to a standard size.

It fitted in my Tamora but needed a bit of filing on the side of the plastic trim finisher. Apparently this is not unusual (and was done in some factory fits)

A good stereo although like all Pioneers a little complicated to set up (you have to actually read the manual!)

BTW, (1) it only works properly on an iphone in airport mode and (2) you will save about £50 if you buy online.

Thanks for that, is the i-pod integration that good on this stereo? Can you see all your tracks etc on the screen.

Sorry not to reply earlier. Only just spotted your post! (Don't browse this forum that often).

On the list screen, can see 3 albums or songs at a time. Its a bit distracting if there is a lot on your ipod as may need to do a lot of scrolling. With the iphone best to load a limited sub-set of your music, say 2GB to make it manageable.

I've got a stereo with "full Ipod" capability and it is a pain scrolling through every album when looking for something - you cannot just skip to albums that start with "S" etc.

For my next stereo I just want to be able to connect Ipod and control it with the ipod not the stereo.

For about £18 I bought a itrip from PC World which is no bigger than my thumb, fits directly into the bottom of my ipod, has no cables or batteries (works directly off the ipod battery) and transmits on any FM frequency. I am sure that others will explain the science better but basicly you tune your radio into a completely empty frequency (just mad static), start your ipod playing with the itrip inserted, tune the itrip to the blank frequecy and roberts your mothers brother. It works with any FM radio anywhere. The ipod controls the output and the car radio controls the volume. It sits quietly in the handbrake well out of the way but accessible, and did I mention that it only cost £18 ?

I use an I-trip radio transmitter which is fine (best when plugged in for a stronger signal) but Alpine I know do an Ipod specific system that has full apple compatibility. I looked at it but decided I didn't really need it. Nice though.
