For all of you that were interested in my post.........hahaha,
The top door seal on the roof had slowly migrated about 10mm back and so the water was dripping from the leading edge down onto the outer side cushion of the drivers seat.
When the seal is forward in its correct position, any water that gets in runs down the body / door seal and drips on the mirror switch and carpet.
Looks like I have to have a wet carpet or a wet seat... Easy decision.

I used to have the same problem.Fixed the rubber seal in position with black silicon, stops it sliding back.If the point where the seal in the roof meets the seal around the door/windscreen is letting in water you could always do what i do and put an extra piece of seal ontop of it.I use a p profile draught excluder from b@q,just run it all the way up the door rubber from the footwell to just past where it goes over the bend where the roof meets it.
It works fine on mine, lives outside most of the time and no more wet carpets or seat.I have to change it every couple of months, depends how often i have the roof off.
I hope that helps you out.

then maybe water coming in through rear screen/roof and dripping down seat to eventually form a puddle. Or a hole in the floor.
