Help! Can't find Water Temp sensor (for Pod)

I am told it's near cylinder 1. Has any one got a pic which shows its location?

Here we go.

The POD water temp sensor is under no.2 (POD display)
The ECU temp sensor is under no.5 (the one that cuts the fans in)



Wire should be sleeved with ID

You can just about see it with bonnet off and get your hands through to feel it.

To get at it to replace/check
Remove the air box by undoing the two allen head bolts on the fuel rail and three toggles, the two on the o/s and one on the other hidden between the box and inlet port.

Cable ties maybe fitted to the o/s toggles to stop them springing open.

Take the oil tank breather hose and small bore vacuum hose off the front top, and the air temp sensor cable off the box off then manipulate forward, remove the small bore pipe at the back of the box then lift out, then remove the filter. To remove the bottom half of the air box, undo the front bolt and two rear ones and lift out. It's worth fitting some larger section viton 'O' rings to the throttle bodies to get a better fit with the air box and stop the engine getting blown with breather oil mist.



Replace/check the sensor on the the display before putting the box back on. A warning ' EFI fault 4' will appear on the display: this is because the air temp sensor is not connected and will not re-appear once re-connected later.

Think you taking screws from air box top off in error?

undo the three clips to take the top bit off the rest should be easy.
AH not so easy on T350

then polishing exhausts & brake pipes

Fimbo, from your other thread, the connections can get a bit corroded on the sensor and so you may just need to give them a clean.
