yellow or orange???

i'm interested in possibly getting a tuscan for knocking about in.

i'd ideally like a yellow or orange one.

are these colours rarer than most on a tuscan?

would they command a premium over say, the more usual colours such as black, silver or crystal topaz?

Yes

Orange ones command a huge premium, everybody want's one and people will pay over double the normal rate for such stuning cars.....



In truth, there are just as many people who want a traditional blue, black, silver type colours, as there are who want a loud shouty colour. Just find one which is mechanically sound, tidy, and makes your heart melt when you first set eyes on it.

the only reason i ask is because these colours seem rare in any classifieds sections i look at.

i realise 'attract a premium' was overstating my point, but do these colours attract more attention on the second hand market?

i deliberately shied away from the usual 'loud' lambo colours when i specced my G spdyer, but tuscan's lend themselves to it IMHO.

were yellows/oranges not popular colours from new? i would have expected them to be a popular choice because TVR owners are hardly shrinking violets!

I think most people tend to stick with the basic blues/blacks etc. Orange Tuscans do look stunning but is a matter of personal opinion. I don't think there's a great deal in price difference, the only thing I think is you may not sell on a loud colour like the orange as quickly as you would a black one for example. I saw a chamelion orange Tuscan the other day and it looked mighty fine. All IMO though.

In real terms, there were not that many Tuscans done in Yellow and Orange, I know of one Mk 1 Tuscan S in Yellow, and one Tuscan 2S in the same Orange as mine. Mine is the only convertible ever made in the Lambo Arancio Atlas orange.

i've got myself a yellow one now. getting it tidied up & will collect it in the new year.

i will obviously post pics when i have my hands on it.

will probably get the spiders changed from silver to anthracite...

yellow body/black wheels...good combo???

I've only seen one yellow Tuscan (black interior / wheels). Orange seems to suit the car well imo - it was the colour of the original press car (burnt orange ?).
