further to my previous & 1st post in the tuscan section, heres some pics of the car i have opted for. it will be used for weekends, only in the dry & to help keep the mileage down on the spyder. i'm having the wheels powder coated in athracite by BJV shortly.

Anorak mode on, that looks like an 'S' because of the rear spoiler and lights, but where is the front splitter, do you know the cars history?

That is a great stand out of the crowd colour by the way.

No it does not look like an S as the rear lights and indicators are a standard or RR car, and the spoiler has simply been fitted!!

Looks like an early 2000 car with the square radio pod.

Nice colour combination, a yellow one cruised past me on the A40 coming into london a few weeks ago (I was not in Tuscan) and it looked the nuts....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy to be corrected. Isn't it strange though that a rear spoiler has been fitted and not a front splitter? If anything I'd have thought it would create more front end lift at speed than without.

jonjo- ha ha! have you ever driven a G spyder? upstaging it is difficult mate!

d.k.s.- it has carbon cans already.

tov!e- i'm with you regarding the lenses. whats the cost of changing them for clear ones?

as for the spec in general, it is a regular tuscan with 's' spoilers, splitter & kick plates. only reason splitter is not attached in pic is because previous owner kept catching it on his steep driveway & removed it.

i will post pics with dark wheels & reattached splitter etc etc when its all sorted.

very nice looking Tusc, haven't seen many bright yellow ones!
hard to upstage a G Spider, but once you have taken this for a good blast it'll be a hard choice deciding between them!

A crap question but how do the two compare, yes the Lambo is in a league of its own but would be very interested in a few comments.

In years to come possibly a future owner is the Tuscan really that out classed Im presuming for the money thats about as close as it gets to outrageous styling and performance. Also what would have been your second choice.

I passed a yellow Tuscan in Durham County a while back and gotta say it looked stunning. Having watched Jeremey C's latest supercar offering last night, a Christmas pressy from my daughter, the Gallardo Spyder is the only car that could tempt me out of my Tuscan if I had the cash.
To have both in the stable well I can only dream on.

comparison wise, there is no comparison really. the lambo does it all. the looks, the noise, the speed & all in any weather!

but maybe thats the problem because i was using it in any weather, which i promised myself i wouldnt do. the alloys got marked, it got tiny chips on the nose, road salt & grime made it dirty.

anyway, it went in for a service & i got everything sorted out & its looks as good as new now, so to save the lambo, i decided to look around for something i could use most days that would still turn heads & offer good performance (driving the X5 everyday would be mind numbing!).

so after deliberating for all of 5 minutes i decided on a tuscan! saw the yellow one & thought it stood out from the crowd of more usual tuscan colours & did the deal.

as for 2nd choices i was briefly tempted by an alfa SZ or a marcos mantis, but realised they would be too fragile for my purposes & end up being garage queens.

its early days yet with my car, but it makes you wonder how the hell TVR went to the wall when they produced cars like this. ok, its VERY rough round the edges in its build quality & handling, but the fact TVR could produce a car that does what it does for so little outlay (used example obviously, but i paid a tenth of the price of my lambo for the TVR) should have guaranteed their future for years to come.
