Clear headlamps from Clever Trevor
Discussion
Hello all and Happy Tuscaning in 2008!
Noticed these on Clever Trevor's site.
FRONT INDICATOR LENS ASSEMBLY : PART NO M1477L
Front indicator lens assembly for Mk1 Tuscan. This is a cheaper option for up-grading to the later style clear indicators with no need to buy the bulb holder as well.
Anyone fitted these? Is it a DIY job? Are special tools required?
Seems a much better option than buying the whole unit!
Cheers

Update on this clear indicator lamp fitment.
I took the Tuscan to work as we have a large workshop. It took over 4 hours to fit. The lamps from Cleveor Trevor did Not allow you to use the original bulb holder. The original bulb holder was too small
for the new lamp. Hence i had to strip down the both lights new and old and use the rear of the old orange lamps and and bond the new front end of the lamp. (a complete pain in the arse)
Also had the matching clear side repeaters, which ended up being smaller then the originals, left to expose small gap on the top and rear of the indicator. Looking closely the originals have Ford stenciled on them ?
I do not know why it didnt fit but after speaking with the parts company, they said it should have been a straight forward swap.??????? Also
Cheers Gary
