Firstly hello all , may i say this is a great forum and is very useful as im looking to take the leap into Tuscan ownership ! i previously owned a 400 bhp Evo 7 then made the very sensible step of buying a 320 ci sport convertible BMW which is slowly killing me with boredom. i regret not buying a Tusc earlier so this time round it simply must be done !
well basically ive been doing my homework on the various models , problems etc etc and i really need to know what sort of space is required to actually open the door and get out of a mk 1 as my garage is not the biggest and lets just say no way would i be leaving it out overnight !!!
i appreciate its a strange question but any help would be greatly appreciated ! ive looked into some CCC's and a PDQ Decat with Remap after and all looks good but no point in any of that if i cant get out the car :-)
so anyhoo keep up the good work and i look forward to being a part of this forum

Hi and welcome.
I dont know the door open dimension but will try and check it later and come back in the morning.
I can say that the door open angle is not that big and so does allow for a fairly tight fit so to speak.
That is not helping my poorly back at the moment but not complaining.
Good luck on finding your Tuscan, they are fantastic cars.

Agiggle,
if single garage, u might be able to stop just outside, and push into garage, leaving handbrake off, to allow you to push it back out. Ensuring car is central and there is a stop to front of car, allowing car to be posiotioed safely. Just a thought.
I would not leave mine outside either!!

i think this may be the most sensible option , the walls of the garage are covered with carpet to avoid any scrapes , straches etc etc so i think this will be the way to go. I know its a pain everytime but i simply HAVE to own a Tuscan granted that may sound silly but i regret not buying one a year ago so cant pass it up again !

I drive a Griff, but have also had a T350 & a Cerbera in my garage (which is just over 7' wide) without a problem. I just get wifey to jump out of the passenger seat in the drive, then keep as close to the left hand wall as possible as I pull into the garage - works a treat.
Where abouts in Kent are you? We have a very active group of owners in our region & you are more than welcome to come along to a meet & have a chat anytime you want - its the best way to find out about TVR ownership.

i would love to come to a meet ! in about a mile from Brands Hatch but can drive anywhere so would be good to have a chat and meet a few owners as i plan to be an active member of this forum and goto as many meets as i can.
As for the garage i'll manage somehow , i passed up a Tusc once im not prepared to do it again
