My car scares me
Discussion
Was a nice dry sunny day yesterday so after I got the the cover off and washed it, went for a drive. Didn't take the roof off but had the rear window out so I could hear the noise.
Once I had it up to temperature, and since the roads were dry for the first time since I bought it, decided to use the accelarator a little more and see what it can do. Jesus this car is fast. Thought the M3 was quick but that this is amazing. After i'd slown down a bit, noticed I hadn't used half the travel on the accelarator so turned round, got it to 70 in 5th and floored it. Everything went very blurry very quickly. Love it. Only down side was it got a little twitchy once i'd lifted off. Was steady as a rock on accelaration but on slowing down, not braking just taking foot off the throttle, felt very twitchy at the rear. Not sure if that's normal, wouldn't have thought so. Need to have a look and find out what's going on.
Don't suppose anyone has any ideas do they?

Probably worth getting the geometry checked out if it hasn't been done. Plus £600-£1100 on a decent set of dampers is probably one of the best investments you can make on Tuscans IMHO.
Glad you're loving it though! Wait till you try flooring it at 70 in third rather than fifth!
Cheers,

One thing i found with Tuscan was the lack of pull low to mid revs compared to the 5ltr RV8. So if you're thinking that was quick you ain't seen nothing yet.The engine comes alive over 5000 revs and gets faster towards the limiter. I found it quicker than my 993 TT. As for being nervous at high speed there were 2 reasons on mine. One was the geometry needed setting correctly, it already has AVO shocks, but the main reason was getting used to the quick rack they have. Just hold the wheel a little lighter and go with it. It now scares the life out of me when I let one of my mates have a go. It feels like we'll shoot off the road at any moment.
Go mad in the dry and drive like ya granny when theres the slightest bit of damp on the road. You'll live longer!!!
