Hi there

I'm a newbie to the forum and my apologies if this topic has been raised before. I intend to buy a Tuscan MK2 4.0L (my first and long awaited TVR!)very soon, however, in order to help me decide which model to buy would somebody explain the key differences between the standard 2 and the 2S models, with particular reference to steering and handling, performance and general refinement. If anyone has driven both models I would be interested to hear their views. Cheers.

Off the top of my head, I think the differences on the 2S are:

Aero parts (front aerofoils / larger rear spoiler)
Larger brake rotors
Close ratio gearbox
Different ECU map? (for the extra horses)

Can't remember if there are options such as Xenon lamps and air con as standard or not, but I'm sure a 2S owner or someone in the know will be along shortly to let you know!

As above, plus: 380 horsepower versus 350 for the non-S; stiffer springs; air con; xenon full beam; oh, and a £10K premium for the S when new, although more like £5K on the second-hand market, making them good value. Never having driven a non-S version, I can't comment on the difference on the road, but reading posts from those who have, there is apparently more low down torque and general oomph with the S.

Thanks for the replies. My inclination lies towards the S and I'm looking at a couple tomorrow.
