bloody door seals on the tuscan
Discussion
Hey all. Please can someone tell me how to stop the drivers side door seal coming out. Its the part thats sits in the 't' grove on the roof of the tuscan. I'm finding that when the window goes down it seams to pull the seal out of its fixing. I've tried lubrication thinking that its the seal going hard but its started doing it again.
Any help much appreciated!

Other than replacing the rubber if it is starting to look a bit old I would think lubrication is the way to go. Is the glass sticking straight away or is the car left for a while? When I first got mine the middle of the strip on the passenger door had been pulled out when getting the roof out of the boot, I just got as broad a bladed flat screw driver and pushed it back in, could be worth taking a close look to see yours is locating in the groove properly.
ETA: Don't try the screw driver trick when it's this cold especially if the rubber is a bit dry!

There are a number of designs so you need to be careful and take a sample with you to make sure you get the right seal.
I got some from Christopher Neils in Northwich Cheshire for my 2000 Tuscan which is the early design in the t-slot but they ordered it from somewhere else anyway. I think that TVR Power is your best bet and maybe e-mail them a photo of your seal type.
If you get really stuck, I have got some spare but its in Germany and I am in the US at the moment.
I'll be back in March so let me know how you go on.
