Tuscan Headunit

Is the aperture on the Tuscan for the Audio Headunit standard size? What pins does it need to remove the existing headunit?

I'm mulling over whether I should install a headunit myself. Any opinions.

Yes, it's a standard DIN headunit, and you need different tools depending what headunit it is. Most Tuscan mk1s were originally Pioneer - you have to unclip the plastic surround from the headunit, which will reveal the slots for the extractors. If you don't have the right tools, you can use bits of old coathanger or wire.

The only thing to watch with a new unit is depth. The fibreglass behind the pod isn't very helpfully shaped, and depending on the connections on the back of your head unit it can be a right bugger trying to get everything shoe-horned back in!

Thanks for that Pete. Well am looking at getting the new Alpine, with bluetooth. i think i'll let them fit it at the shop as it gets over the doesnt fit issue! lol
