You guys out there are gonna love me!!get mine on wed or thurs,i need all the help i can get! and will prob be on here every day!firstly. what do you mean by 95ron!(Hmm told you)Iam A girl by the way. mine is the 2003 tuscan,4.0 is it the first tuscan or is it what they call the mark 2, Iam a very good driver,and can drive anything,but have been told i will be dead before saturday! So what tips do you have to keep me out of the ditches. Is there any more girls out there with the same car as me?
95 ron is the octane number of the fuel you should use, stuff like Shell V-power or BP Optimax.
Personally I think V-power's your best bet.
Basically just respect the car and the amount of power it has, be careful if you've never driven a rear wheel drive car before as they behave totally differently to FWD cars. Beware of damp roads and roundabouts till you get the 'feel'
Also to start with just be careful that you only apply power with the car pointing in a straight line or you may find yourself going sideways.
Apart from that just enjoy the car and don't be scared be respectful

The 95 RON is the fuel type. 95 is just your usual unleaded fuel where as the 98 RON is the super unleaded or Shell V power etc.

Make sure the tyres on the back have got plenty of tread on them, when I got mine the tyres were legal but as soon as you put your foot down it was just a mass of wheel spinning! so replaced them and it's now superb..........unless it's wet!

Don't press the loud pedal hard in the wet. Standing water (big puddles) at speed and large tyres are NOT your friend either. VERY easy on the throttle coming off roundabouts etc.
Do a "ride and drive" course(s) - invaluable. Teaches you how to control the car, not let the car control and intimidate you.
With the speed 6 engine - oil is paramount. Check it every long journey/every week. It needs to be checked HOT (engine well up to temp (20 minute run minimum)- switch off engine and check it within about 20 secs. This is the large tank at the front. Use a garden leather glove - dipstick is built in. Use the oil recommended by the dealer. Starve this engine of oil and its big bills
If it hasnt been done already, get the suspension geometry checked and done if necessary. It will do wonders for the perceived nervousness of some Tuscans. Matter of taste some may say.
Get along to your local TVRCC meet - chat to other owners. They will be a friendly bunch and will give you loads of helpful advice.
These are beautiful cars, fabulously quick and arguably only dangerous if not treated with respect. Like any other lightweight sports car with relatively big power. Work with the car and hone you skills and it will be match made in heaven.

All been watching fifth gear eh? Thanks so much for all your tips!I went for a test drive with "phil the sales man"and he stopped and explained all about the controls etc,and im thinking,please dont ask me if i want to drive it, and he did,so i bottled it.but he did say he had LOADS of guys who were the same, been on the phone and net all day with insurance,

Thats great On a serious note you will be absolutely fine ,wear flat shoes,my wife has just started driving ours and loves it,as already mentioned just BE carefull if its wet please,as you know these are very powerfull rear wheel drive cars with no TC or ABS,just take it easy and enjoy getting to know your car,relax and enjoy
