Hi,

first the PPC meet, 100 mile hoon, there and back, then today 160 mile round trip visiting my mother in Midlands,, top off, rear window out all the way back, looked like Don King on the motorway, with a huge grin, not a pretty sight!

Nothing to touch it on any roads, a few tried and failed miserably. Never missed a beat, no pun intended as I could not hear the stereo over the CC`s.

Tuscs Rock!!

Red Glow,

Had my daughter in with me for the latter part of the journey, hands in the air seem to be the theme with kids, she did enjoy it though.

Sounds like u had a good day

Had the roof off for the first time on Friday night biggrin Such a great feeling... can't wait for proper summer!

It is a hassle getting the roof into the boot though, isn't it? Really gotta faff around with it to fit it in without damaging anything! And then if you have anything you need outta the boot you gotta struggle with it even more! Ah well... can't complain! smile

Question - when taking the rear screen out, do you put it in the bag and then put that on top of the roof panel? Does that not scratch the roof paint?

I bag the screen up and drop in straight into the boot resting up against the fuel tank, it wont go anywhere!

Then put the roof on top.

You must be kidding. The roof is very easy to get into the boot. Did your dealer not show you the technique?

As for the screen, take it out first, put it in the bag and sit it in the boot - not on top of the roof.

They did, but I think I was too excited to take any notice! biglaugh

I turn it around (so the front is nearer the badge) and then put one corner, then the other, then push it backwards. I find that the front corners of the panel get caught on the boot edge though.

they will all have slightly different sized boots, so some may be easier to stow the roof in than others. It used to be not uncommon for cars to be upto 100mm different in length from side to side! guess things are better these days, not sure how this applys to TVRs tho.

got a bag for my roof, so it doesn't get scratched going in and out of the boot, or if you put the screen on top. (useful when your boot is full of camping stuff, wine and other Le Mans essentials)

keep enjoying the sunshine driving

(unfortunately a self inflicted beer injury prevented hooning yesterday)

Dunno if it's just mine, but there doesn't appear to be a notch for the roof panel to fit into in my boot! I've just got a little shelf just underneath the booth catch that the roof rests on.

It's a bit worrying as I felt like I was gonna crush the roof panel when I closed the boot. I guess that's not normal?!

I also went to the PPC meet and found it to be very informative.

Had FOC Chassis check done and all was ok (So very Pleased).

Roof was also off for the first time and loved it.

I struggle with the roof a bit but it's getting easier the more I do it.

The bag for my screen is missing, anyone know where to get a replacement? In saying that, I just put it in the boot so there is no real need for it really.

the perspex screen scratch easily if left to rub against things, and i've yet to find a polish that cleans them up (haven't really been looking tho)

so may be worth getting a bag. seen some in the classifieds on here, worth a look
