Just smile sweetly, and stick to whatever you were doing before.

Some people just have to prove a point - if this means driving like a complete knobend, then so be it!

Just let them go, warm in the feeling that you had the nicer car and the most sensible attitude!

By all means have a blast if you feel comfortable, but these are public roads we are talking about - the track is a different matter!

You've only had the car a week or so - just enjoy it at your own pace!

Hi, sorry to here of your m-way experience. I think it's kind of inevitable you're going to get this (male or female). Just ignore them - don't react, or at best, give them a smile and a wave.....then when you've got more confidence...and the rug-rats aren't with you....

I've only had mine for about 6 months, but have got this reaction a few times...but often I think they're just getting close to read the badge 'cos they don't know what the hell it is!

With reference to the stalling problem from cold just hold the rev's at about 1200 RPM for 30 seconds or so, there is no cold idle jet on the Speed 6 engine therefore requires a bit of throttle, this also helps with the oil circulation.

Glad you enjoyed yourself today. As for the prat in the BM, ignore him and anyone else that decides to be a k**b to you. No point lowering yourself to there level. Still, it is fun every so often to use a little bit of pressure with the right foot every so often.

Weather was nice here today so I got a whole afternoon driving round with the roof and back window out. Back roads, country roads, dual carraigeways, all great fun.

Even got 3 13 year olds giving it, "hey mister, that's a really smart car you have". They looked like neds and I half expected to have no wheels left when I got back from having something to eat but all was well, lol!

TVRs trigger lots of great responses from people and sadly sometimes also negative ones. I would just ignore it and put it down to envy.

For example, this morning on the A3 I had a guy in an old Seat within inches of the back of my car, weaving left and right as if he wanted to overtake me. Thing is, we were actually on a single carriage slip road coming off the A3, heading towards a corner and it was raining. The last thing I wanted was having some nutter slide into the back of my car! I put on my hazard lights and signalled that he should slow down, to which he responded by showing me the finger. Clearly his problem...

There are so many utter ts out there. So far I've found people to be very nice on the road and will generally make a point to let me in if I need to change lanes and actually stop if I'm coming out of a T-junction, etc. Have had the odd few get up close behind me and have either given it a bit of welly (and they've backed off ) or carried on as normal and they've backed off, realising I'm not in the mood to play. Sure I'll run into a few of the idiots at some point though!

Do your own thing and don't be intimidated. Ignore them best you can and drive in your own style.

People do strange things and it sounds to me more like he was interested in the car and the noise it was making rather than anything else, but it sometimes translates into bad driving. An example is them hanging on your rear to look and listen which is annoying but you get used to it.

You'll always be a bit paranoid where you park, it's only natural and you'll find even if you park as far away from other cars as possible when you return it WILL be surrounded by other cars.

Had the same problem with fool in a Vectra on the A47,tried to overtake on roundabout and nearly swopped paint, then tailed me for about a mile. Dont worry your infront and let the div behind listen to the sweet rumble of your exhaust.

On the flip side had a biker at traffic lights give praise to my Tusacn, not often cars get respect from a biker. Just love life and do your own thing, at your pace.:

the idle may be a bit low, but most cars need 30sec to warm through before idleing ok. the general consensus is that idleing when cold is bad as the oil pressure is low, best try to keep the revs between 1200 and 3000 rpm until the oil temp reaches about 60deg. (my opinion, other people may do different things)

normal, but you soon work out that your faster than most things so have nothing to prove (assuming you want to keep your licence).

does get a bit embarrasing in the wet when BMW330 s out drag you because you can't get any power down with out tons of wheel spin.

reactions can be good and bad, but mostly good. the main thing they get a reaction, life is too short to be boring.
children gawp and stare. straingers come up to you in car parks complimenting the car etc etc

one night, campe out of a pub in the nice part of town in ear shot of 5/6 20 something girls walking down the road. not noticing me walking towards the car, one says some thing like "god look at that car, if thats not a c##k extension i dont know what is!"
still walking towards the car i turned to my firend and said "i can live with that"... got in and proceeded to leave two black line down the street

i've had the same thing when i'm on my way to work sometimes.

in the lambo, nobody messes with you.

in the tuscan, some people (i've had honda accord type-r's to m3's) want to race you.

but my journey is so short i dont get the oil temp up to 'racing level' & i wont take the bait.

but they seem to think they've beaten me because of this...

what about in the BMW? thinking that an X5 would compliment the Tuscan quite well as a second car.
