Hi - how do I get the door openining button out to change it, ona Tuscan II ? I guess it is the button as the central console switch works, and the fuses are sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know, but I've never heard of the button being the problem, more likely the wiring through the door. I think I'd take the inside door panel off first and test it, but I never taken my door panel out so can't help you there.. a bolt in the door pocket I think... Is it a convertible or targa Mk2??
Can you hear the solenoid operating when you press the button from outside?

Thanks, no the solenoid doesn't make at all from the button, just from the console. The first thing I had hoped to do was remove the button, and short the connection, but no idea how to get it out yet. I will have another look tomorrow.

Hi - you were right. Door button was OK, took off the door panel and found that the works fitting of the switches left them exposed to water running down the o/s of the window - corroded. All fixed and protected. I am going to do a profelactic job on the neaside now.

Thanks for you advice - I thought it was daft until I opened the panel!!
