Why did they never put an oil level monitor on pod?

Hey folks!

Hope you all had a good weekend - took my baby out for a hoon from Watford to Aylesbury on Saturday afternoon (somehow missing the rain!)... absolutely awesome. Clear roads and numerous occasions to push the leptons. Lovely!

Anyway, my question is - why did TVR never add an electronic/analogue display for the oil level into the pod or LCD display? Surely that would have been a simple yet highly useful tool?

I love your idea BigJL, but could you imagine the accuracy from the factory! My fuel gauge will fluctuate from 40 to 46 litres not to mention the ever changing temp gauge.

Why can’t we check the oil level as described in the manual, make sure it’s at the correct level, let the engine cool then note where the level is and maintain from there. Is there a really simple reason why we can’t do this?

only exact reading when engine is warm,while start
up incorrect reading!!
Only a gauge is a indicator (as older Porsches 911)
