If anyone is changing a set or knows of a write off etc. I would be grateful for a heads up. I would probably take two if they are available. I'm also pretty sure that the fronts and backs are different so I would need rears.

I have just put new tyres on and have gone from a 40 to a 35 profile and as they were balancing the tyres they said that both rears were a bit buckled but should be ok. I watched them on the balancer and there is clearly some discrepency. I have never had a shake before but as soon as I went for a mini hoon to bed the tyres in I got a shake at about 80-85 mph. I will take it back and get them to check the balancing again but I suspect that the change to a 35 profile has extentuated the problem.

Someone may come along and tell me I'm wrong but when I had new rears fitted mine squirmed quite a lot at higher speed until they had bedded in (I also went from 40 to 35 profile 255's up from 235's). If you hadn't noticed it before and the tyre fitters did a good job ie not made it worse, I would have thought this would have been more likely. HTH

It's more of a judder than a squirm and it only seems to happen as you get up around 80mph. I have got another journey on Thursday so I will see if it does bed in and stop.

I'm pretty sure the fitters did a great job so it may just be a beding in issue.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'll let you know what happens.
