Good Morning all!
My Tuscan was due for an MOT.
So I booked it in the local MOT station for the following week.
Just so happened I had a funny noise coming from one of the front corners so popped it into TVR Fix for a checkover. Was chatting away and mentioned the car was going in for MOT in a few days so they asked where I had booked it in.....
Following my reply I got a response I could only describe as similar to when builders come round to price up work just before they tell you how expensive it is.
Subsequently got them to put it through a TVR friendly MOT Centre and cancelled the original MOT with the local garage. Result was it passed with flying colours and nothing to advise!

It seems the moral of the story is not all MOT Centres are TVR friendly and it is advised to always pop your pride and joy down to your TVR Centre for MOT.

Being a little synical(poss typo) but garages love mots because they then get any work that comes with it. Always had mine done at local mot garage and only ever needed a side light bulb. Mant TVR garages will not do their own mots anyway (as yours) and then charge high prices for any work resulting from failures. They are only cars uknow My Tuscan was due for an MOT.
