Side repeaters

Just did a quick search on the removal of the side repeaters with no real joy. I am wanting to replace the original with opaque ones. Without getting a crow bar into the guard it appears the MK1 is a clip on blinker as opposed to double sided tape? Is there access from the foot well?

I had a little tug and it didn’t want to just pull off easily. Any hints folks?
