Plastic seat back

Hi guys,

Anyone know a breakers yard where I might be able to get a replacement seat back - the plastic cover? Mines cracked where the screws attach it to the seat and is flapping around.

Also, being very non-technical I'm struggling to post pics of my recently purchased Tuscan, what am I doing wrong/not doing? Tried copying and pasting but can't seem to do it...

Is your seat back vinyl covered or just plastic finished?

Mine is viynl (spelling?) finished and I have just reinforced all the plastic holes by gluing platic plates onto them and re-drilling the holes. Not the neatest on the inside but looks good and is stronger when in place.

I now have the remaining problem that the top sides are not flush with teh seat - there is about a 1cm gap. Thinking of heating it and bending it into place...probably with the girlfriends hairdrier!

For photos host your pictures on a web site (I use photobucket) then cut and paste the web address - easy when its set up.

A new replacement seat back is just less than £100 at Racing Green.

Thanks for the tip re photos and I'll go to Racing Green and get a replacement but not just yet, other more pressing things to fix!

get the silver backs (available..?) if u have to replace!

Yep, currently got silver ones. Drivers side is broken but I can live with it for now. Current spending focused on getting him set up for Le Mans trip next month
