When does the Speed 6 sound good?

Just driven a Tuscan (03 plate, 4.0). Now I know that the S6 and the RV8 are a different kettle of fish, but do you need to give an S6 the beans to get nice noises out of it? On the test drive, I didn't really get chance to push things above about 5000 RPM due to traffic and my reservations of not knowing the car all that well.
So, what's the score? Do I need to go back and give it some beans - will that make me think WOW - What a sound!

I have them on mine. Noise all the way (especially around Edinburghs narrow streets700-1000 nice phut phut of latent capacity
1000-3500 worst bit, abit sowing machine
3500-4500 starts to get interesting, tingling raspyness, think tuned 4cly honda or some thing
4500-5500 sound hardens into a roar. back off after this point any you get snarl like a cat on heat that has just been super soakered, followed by a 1930's gangsta with a gapling gun
5500-7000 primeavel battle cry, that can make grown men go white with fear
throttle position has a big effect, wider open the more bassy the sound.
its completely different to a bent crank V8, griffs etc are like wipped cream. SPD6s are like an angry greek methelogical beast

pps mine is decatted with sleaved cans
ppps the sound will be different inside/out side / roof off/on

A couple of side exit exhausts through the passenger compartment might be a bit extreme for most people, but the sound is awesome!

Not as standard. They are available direct from the Carbon Can Company (CCC) itself or on Ebay. Don't be confused by the word 'carbon' - your standard Tuscan cans have a carbon fibre effect surround, but they're made by Blue Flame. CCC's also do a similar can, but more often than not they're stainless steel.S6 definetely sounds at its best from inside the cabin IMO
on idle in a Tuscan with standard cans it does make a chuntering kind of sound like a big bike engine IMO (Carbon cans are generally cracklier sounding right?), but once warmed through and extended through the rev range it sounds like nothing on earth can hold it back!
