engine recall? tappets? rebuild help

ok I'll admit to not having read every post about the sp6 engine but....

talking to a dealer about a car and he says that all sp6 engines were recalled for top end work on the tappets - is this effectively a top end rebuild that he is referrring to? were sp6 ever actually recalled? and is it top end ness that goes or?

I have had my Cerb Sp6 from new and have never received a recall notice for the engine, and never heard about there even being one, it was rebuilt a few times for free at the factory though, I have had a recall for the front uprights, but that's all.

I don't believe they were recalled, as such. Though quite a few have been rebuilt. Tappets are checked and adjusted at the 12,000 mile services, but that isn't the same as a rebuild.

To the dealer the constant in-flow of Tuscans for top end work might have seemed like a recall to all owners, but I'm not aware of any official factory recall notice when I worked at a main dealer.

Not aware of any official factory recalls on the Sp 6........

Saw lots in there being rebuilt though four or five years ago........
