Door closed but dash reads 'warning door open'

Hi all,
Had problems with a flat battery of late, now the battery has been recharged car starts fine, but the dash gives a warning that the drivers side door is open when it is not, and the window will only close half way, electrical gremlins i quess, anyone know how to sort it?

Very easy chap mine does this from time to time.
Open door,
You will see a stainless steel cover that goes over the lock mechanism (on the car not the door). Undo the 3 screws holding it on. There will then be a microswitch with a lever on it. When the latch closes it pushes this lever onto the microswitch and it tells the ecu the door is shut.
I found I needed to take the lever off and bend it a little bit so it got more contact with the door.

Mine had been doing it on and off until I took the micro switch out and bent the arms of the lever in to grip the switch better. Now works fine, my fiencee wasnt best pleased having the passanger window stuck half open throughout december
