Wishbone toe adjuster stuck - new wishbone???!
Discussion
Went to have my geo done at power on friday - "no can do", passenger side toe adjuster ceased solid.
Got both the wishbones of the car - one adjuster was already pretty rounded. So, flatted back with a grinder, soaked in penetrating oil overnight, and then today heated outer with a blow torch, then hung off the end with a 3 ft breaker bar....
AND THE FRIGGIN THING STILL WOULDNT BUDGE!!!
It is TOTALLY ceased, any help anyone? right now im looking at having to try and either source a second hand wishbone (which may be just as bad) or buy a new wishbone - and for that im looking at £150!!!!
Not happy....not happy at all!
PS anyone with a lower wishbone they are willing to sell...please mail me

Str8six sorted mine for £130. They can be drilled out and replaced, if swinging on them with a big spanner won't work. Copper slipped up they should last forever having been sorted properly.Got both the wishbones of the car - one adjuster was already pretty rounded. Shep
Thanks for the advice guys...yup its that one Graham!!
Yeah - i used 'proper' prenetrating oil - it had been soked for several days previously!
It wasnt budging!!
Anyway after a complete mare of an eve saturaday, i may have a way forward - father in law has a wire erosion company. So - first attack will be to 'slot' the threaded adjuster on a wire machine. If that doesnt work - will wire the whole thing out (except the thread) and then re-tap.
What a git!!

The thread is 7/8AFiirc and I have a tap for anybody within reach of Herts or Essex and I got Gaz to make me 100 new adjusters, which cost about £4 each.
I drop the inner wishbone by removing the bolts and then rip out the adjuster with 12"stilsons, quite often having to put a 6' tube on the stilsons for a bit of extra leverage.
Only once had to remove whole wishbone and chain drill out adjuster.
