I'm attempting to replace my original pioneer cassette radio but am struggling with the wiring - anyone got a wiring diagram so i can tell what i need to connect to what?

I'm specifically stuck with one black wire that is not going into the iso block but disappears off into the car!

I am guessing here, but I'm fairly sure that black is earth for automotive wiring code colours.

black is normally earth. Get your multi-meter and put a known 12V supply (red wire) on one end then put the other on the mystery black wire if you get 12 volts on the meter then its a good bet its an earth!

I would also check its not a live 12V supply by testing the wire against a known earth point.

Just taken it to a car audio centre and he reckons they are the earths for the multi CD changer which would make sense.

Have just blocked them off as advised and connected new stereo.

As a bonus the radio now works as well!!

Hey there da_murphster,

Did you find the ISO behind the Pioneer block ? I thought I'd just check back in with you to make sure I didn't give out over blown duff advise.
