All,
Haven't use the tuscan in 3 weeks and guess what flat battery! no surpise there then..
When i finally started the tuscan i notice that the main lights were on... I thought straight away that i'd left the lights on and thats why i had a flat battery but nob on console was turned off.... I went out driving and then the wipers started working intermittently by them selfs...

All advice gratefully received.

Cheers

Andy

I'd say your battery is possibly goosed. I put a post on the other day about some of the random things that happened when my battery died. Or you may have condensation in some electrical plugs??? Hope it all goes right for you soon, as I know how frustrating it is.

I've had this problem....headlights always on, and strange electrical things occuring....like pressing the horn and the wipers would move...wiper switch would work intermittently and at random.

I spent ages with a multimeter tracing wiring and checking things out and i couldnt get any sense out of the reading i was getting.

It turned out to be caused by condensation in the car forming above the fuse box and dripping onto the back of it where the multiterminal connectors all plug in. The water had worked its way into the actual big black box that holds the fuses and relays and caused no end of corrosion thus shorting stuff out randomly depending how damp the car was.
Replaced the whole box and suddenly all was perfectly well and the electrical readings all made perfect sense. Took about 2 hours to replace the box due to its daft position (took loads of pictures to make sure all went back in the right place).

Complete b*tch to figure out what was wrong with it but obvious when i saw it.
