I would have thought a Tuscan or a Cerbie would be more difficult for the wife to get to grips with. I've heard of people swapping a Tuscan for a Tam for the same reason

After I wrecked my Mk1 Tuscan I was looking at buying a Tamora because I wanted to get back to a full convertible and couldnt afford a Mk 2 Tuscan convertible.
My Wife was dead against me geting a Tamora as she was so pro Tuscan and set about finding me a Tuscan.
I dont like to advertise the price I paid but suffice to say I am now the proud owner of a Mk2 convertible.

What could she not get on with? I think a Cerbera will be much harder for her to drive (stiffer pedals, longer bonnet). A Tuscan won't be any better.

Mrs. Konrod couldn't drive the Chim or Cerbera as the pedals were too far away. She can happily drive the Tuscan but can only get the accelerator half way down - and we should all be grateful for that........

she has driven chim easy she has driven cerb easy but the tam was way too low and the clutch pedal sha was not happy with so after our hols back on 26th march will now be searchin thanks

Weird - the Tam is said to have a somewhat higher driving position than any other contemporary TVR (and thus is easier to place) in every road test I've read... Did someone nick the seat cushion from yours?

I would plonk her in a Tuscan to see how she likes it. The nose on a Tuscan is harder to see over than the Tam. General visability is worse to all round. I like them but fell in love with the colour of my Tam so thats what I ended up with.

knowing the sharpness of the steering rack from a MK1 i would certainly have her drive an older tuscan first.
and then i mean a longer and higher speed drive.
this to be sure you're not going to have the same thing again (wife doesn't like it)
the steering rack of the tuscan 2 is more forgiving (but they are more expensive and the looks are different).
and
if you're looking at the lower end you will likely end up spending more to get it right.
people selling at the lower end wont do a service before selling, will have worn out dampers, will have older than 4 years old tyres under their car and the most important part : won't give you any garantee.
lets see how you're wife likes that

The Tuscan Mk1 set up is by all means an acquired taste...
