lenses for the MK1
Discussion
after the speedo adventure i'm thinking of something else
what about manufacturing plastic lenses to fit the 4 light's of the Mk1
the look will resemble the MK2. (but then 4 lenses)
no flies and other rubbish on the lights
smoother look
helps the airflow
and
keeps the vicious looks of the MK1
thinking of plastic lenses you can add on from the outside
let me know if this sounds OK and you're interested

I had the same thoughts when polishing my baby last week - took me half an hour to get the killed flies and bees out of the chrome rings around the lamps...
Shouldn't it be 6 plastic covers (including the turn signals) ? Eventually further 4 covers for the rear lamps (to have a continuous design)?
I am not sure if I would be interested though. The Mk1 was designed as it is and IMO it is just timelessly perfect. Maybe somebody here could do a quick photoshop simulation ?

Funky Jo

it would be most welcome if there is somebody on this forum creative enough to do a photoshop simulation.
