Power Steering - Whiring noise
Discussion
Guys - Need your help...
I think I have an issue with my power steering, on my MK1 Tuscan S, of 2001.
On Saturday when I was parking the car in the garage, I noticed a whiring noise coming from behind the steering wheel. Yesterday, when I took the car for a drive, the noise was still there. As soon as I slightly turn the steering wheel to either side, it starts to make this noise. When I put it at straight, it stops..
Checked the power steering fluid and it is at the usual level, so no obvious leak there, nor under the car - the garage floor is clean.
Can't say I feel the steering wheel any heavier either.
Any ideas what this could be? The noise was definitely not there before, or maybe there was when the wheel was at full lock.
Your insights are, as always, greatly appreciated!
