What does this usually mean? ive seen it on start up on occasion

Will have most of the common queries answered there. When you turn your ignition on, you should see the fuel, temperature and speedo go through a zeroing check. Basically hitting a switch at the bottom of it's range. Your gauge fails to hit the switch but is probably nothing to worry about. I get it from time to time as well.

Thats ok then nothing major there then,perhaps a sticky sender as the cars been stood a while?
