I'd agree mith Marcus. Mines an April 2004 car ....AFAIK. So, pretty late/very late Mk.1, and it has hydraulic PAS. I believe the Mk.2's came on stream for the '54 plate (my reg' is '04)?
I judge the date to be reasonably correct, 'cos my car has a Mk.2 type of cigar lighter...could be a replacement of a lost item though.

Easily retrofitted if you want to, it is a Peugeot 106 /saxo pump just find one in a breakers with the loom and remote filler.
