My drivers door wont open cleanly on the first press of button - it pops and tries to open, but sticks and i have to press again and push/pull it open.
I cant feel any play in the hinges, and have oiled the catch etc - is there something i should try adjusting...??

I had a similar problem where the door card had slipped down a little bit - caused just enough drag on the door. Otherwise you might have to look at the door needing rehanding,

Try this, open up as usual then start the engine, close door, reopen with the engine running and if it opens much better its probably the solenoid is losing its oomph and needs replacing

mine does the same thing, it is the door card, when you shut the door each time the card edges out a fraction, a hundred shuts and the leather card needs pushing back into the frame slightly and then it opens smoothly - still not found a way to make the damn thing stay put! gonna get it looked at on service next week!

It's the large flattish piece of trim that covers the interior side of the door.

This is a random one :

Ah, all perfectly clear. Still, doesn't help as my door is sticking and the door card is as firm as a very firm thing in a very firm place !

hi got same problem on my tuscan door seems to catch on the latch when opening but with all the other work i'm doing not got round to sorting it yet. think i've found cure for problem on here a while back so put topic in favorites to refer back to .sorry don't know how to add a url link here so i'll just copy paste it .http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=351837&hw=++wing++mirror
its cerbera stuff but alot seems the same as tuscan .i think this should be the same as tuscan. latch solenoid behind seat belt trim has a nut on top of it that if you adjust it down should make the soleniod pull more on the latch.
hey presto door swings open without having to press button two three times whilst pulling edge of door.
hope this works for you and if so leave us some feed back for when i do mine cheers

Has anyone had the problem of not being able to open the drivers side door? if so do you know what could be causing it to stick? thanks
