Air-condition for TVR Tuscan
Discussion
My 2003 has no air-conditioning, but after over 3 yrs of ownership and 25k miles, there have been so few times I could/would have used it, the £2k + cost of retrofitting seems pointless to me personally. Yes, there will be the arguments about resale value impact etc, but to be honest, that is not what I bought the car for! Lots of threads on this forum about the pros and cons; ultimately, up to you, but from experience, it has not been a great loss.

Yes there is.
Take the roof off and open the windows!

Its a great option Take the roof off and open the windows!

but doesn't help much if there is 36 degrees outside and if you have very pale skin that is very sensitive to the sun. But i will give it a try this summer and that decide in the winter. But I'd rather spend 2k on new brakes or engine upgrade that AC. stillgrinning said:
My 2001 Y reg 4lt RR has aircon and I never turn it on anymore. When I used to in the early days you could feel the power drain out of the engine and watch teh fuel guage plummet. As someone else said, open teh window or take the roof off !
There is something wrong with your car then :-)Using my aircon makes no noticeable difference to fuel economy or performance. It does have to be said it makes little difference to the temperature of the cabin as well

Yeah, Airco makes definitely sense for temperatures above 25° AND also to de-mist the windscreen when it starts raining (Thunderstorm) at warm temperatures outside.
I just did 500 miles back home from HOT Italy last week-end (without the heater ECU fitted, yet) and I've lost 2,5 kilos in this "racing Sauna".
Maybe a new trend / idea for a new business?: "The racing hammam - loose 2,5 kilos in just 1 day" :-)))
cheers,
Funky Jo
