Weird Alarm Stuff

Started mine today for first time in 3 weeks...backed her out of garage and noticed a beep every 5 or 6 secs and both turn lights would flash on the dash. Choose to ignore !

Driving along motorway got several people turn their hazards on as they passed. Pulled off to a layby and walked around the car with engine still running...seemed to be doing nothing odd and at the same time the intermittent beep had stopped as I pulled up. Opened drivers door to get back in and the alarm went off...engine still running. Turned off engine and clicked the key fob. All OK. Restarted, no further drama...

Any ideas ???

Reason for "flashers", your reversing light isn't on when you're in 4th/5th by any chance.???
