Body Off - how hard ?
Discussion
I'm already thinking ahead to winter projects!
The chassis on my Tuscan could use a bit of tarting up before the tinworm properly sets in. Some area are like new, some (like near the exhausts / cat) are "less good".
How hard would it be to take the body off? Anyone done it? Seems like it shouldn't be too bad, but it's bound to be, isn't it?
So, what would I have to disconnect?
Cheers,
FT.

- Accelerator Cable
- Seat Bolts
- All body fastners
- Electrical bulkhead connector
- Washer fluid hose

Thanks, I saw the article on that in Sprint. I don't think 2" would satisfy me though custard
as I think I'd really like to get the body right off and clean up the chassis properly. I was really inspired by this guy: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Take a look at the before and afters of his engine bay. Mine looks more like the "before" than the "after" !

Hi !
That is my car on the pics.
To get the body off on the Cerbera I even had to cut some fiberglass. The body on a Cerb is bonded to the chassis with fiberglass at the seatbelt mounts, don´t know if it is like that on a Tuscan. The tricky part was to find all the bolts that hold the body to the chassis. I didn´t not know about two bolts that where hidden under the dashboard just behind the engine.
Fume Troll, the CD is in the mail know.

I have not long completed a body off on a Griffith, and of course there will be many differences, but the basic format cannot be to far removed.
I wrote this wiki for the Griff, and some others contributed aswell.
