In the pic the red numbers are the settings as listed on mytuscan.co.uk

Car feels unstable, almost wobbly, sorry lack better adjectives. Tyres almost new, F1 asymmetric. Problem existed prior to having them fitted, improved but not cured by new tyres

Had car from new, not been in accident or curbed

Place I took it to recons most of the problem is from the back end,(toe in lots + camber) which is not adjustable

Help please

My setup was done a couple of years ago by TopCats in Aylesbury following the installation of adjustable Nitron shocks. It transformed the handling.
The list of figures they gave me is as follows:-

N/S Front: camber 1. Toe in 5. Caster 24(cold tyres). Rebound 12. Weight 304.
O/S Front: camber 1. Toe in 5. Caster 24(cold tyres). Rebound 12. Weight 305.
N/S Rear: Camber 1. Toe in 10. Caster 24(cold tyres). Rebound 14. Weight 271.
O/S Rear: Camber 1. Toe in 10. Caster 24(cold tyres). Rebound 14. Weight 274.

Please dont ask me what it all means, i dont know!!
However, she is a joy to drive, both on the road and track. TopCats are a race team who deffo know what they are doing.

Apart from your rear camber angles being a little out, i would suggest that perhaps your Dampers might be the cause.
Is it more unstable when you accelerate?, or under breaking??

it sort of feels like it has a slight wobble from side to side when accelerating

Mine was much better (not terrible before) after fitting new Gaz shocks. Especialy under acceleration or heavy braking from high speed. The latter could produce some slight trouser stains wink on occasions. The worst handling came after fitting new rear tyres when it turned into a nightmare. Car was awfull but improved as tyres bedded in and after a tracking set up now reasonably good again.

That setup looks all over the place, and you will want to get that sorted out, but also bear in mind that new tyres will be very soft and make the car feel vague. You will probably find it helps to cure the tyres properly and also run them 1 or 2 psi softer than normal for the first few thousand miles or until you have cured them.

I agree - also its probably just a typo but that 0.75 on the rear camber should be a negative. I'm also not sure I understand the "not adjustable" comment from your garage. If it's anything like my Griff (and I believe it certainly is) then everything is adjustable - even caster if your willing to use some shims.

If a set of good dampers and springs in a grand, I'd definitely want to get the geometry spot on first in case that fixes it!

Best of luck and please report back on your progress ...

Try Jacking the rear of the car up, or just one side at a time so as the rear wheels are off the ground, and give them a good tugging side to side to see if there is any play in the bushes etc.
If your getting a "side to side wobble" when you accelerate, the back wheels might be moving a little.
Might be best to put some miles on your new tyres first though, and see if it improves.
Hope you get it sorted ASAP.

cheers
Mark.

Hi
don't know if this is any use but i had a similar problem and it turned out to be a buckled nearside rear wheel. You say you have recently had new tyres so I am sure they would have pointed this out when they fitted the new ones but I thought I would metion on the off chance.

And what are the recommended tyre pressures?

I'm sure the handbook doesn't say, I run about 24 all round but have seen so many different ideas and after my last service I felt they'd pumped them up a little bit too much at 28.

I find 24 psi all round is best.

I don't know .. I'm looking at your chart and I cant see much to give you really bad stability. You have a parallel front toe near enough, the only camber that is really anything out from the rest is the ns rear but even at that its not ridiculous as an absolute number .. im assuming the rear toe is in mm so 2.5mm over an 18inch wheel isnt much at all, and its toeling in and byt the same near enough both sides .. i dont reckon that set up is going to give you too many issues. Yes it could do with correcting, but i wouldnt expect a transfomation with anything other than getting some front toe-in to stabilise the front end a bit.

Sounds more like a duff wheel or tyre to me.

I had a similar sounding problem last year, I took it to Leven and they renewed the top ball joints and this transformed the car. Could be worth looking at.
Good luck
