Found One At Last................Tuscan

Well, after a month of searching for a Tuscan, I finally found one that ticked all the right boxes. Never thought it would be as hard to find a nice one as it was. After looking at about 6 cars, that were advertised on here......that for one reason or another i chose not to buy, I ended up travelling to London to look at a late 2002 car with a relativly low mileage. The car was owned from new by a lady owner, and had been sold by the TVR Center to it's second owner about 18 months ago, who added a further four thousand miles in the 18 months he owned it. Always serviced by the TVR Center and and not seen any wet weather driving since new. It's my first TVR but not my first high performance car (450bhp Cosworth owned for 14 years, BMW E39 M5 owned for nearly two years). Both of my last two cars, the Cosworth and the M5 had both been Concourse Show Cars, so my standards were very high, which is probably why it took me so long to find the right car for me. Once I'd looked at the car, I called the TVR Center who gave me the thumbs up on the car, as they'd serviced it from new, and as we spoke the car had only done 400 miles since they last serviced it. The Chassis is just like the day it left the factory (probably cleaner actually), the interior is the best i'd seen of all the cars I'd been to look at. The engine is low mileage with no problems since new, and no signs of any up and coming problems at it's last service. The body is unmarked with only about four stone chips on the front section of the bonnet, and it's in Titanium Silver.

After driving it back from Central London (Park Lane) to Portsmouth, I'm in love with it even more.......but now I'm deaf.....LOL (Compared to the M5, God it's noisy), so may consider stripping the interior and fitting some sound insulation material throughout the inside of the car.........Ok, call me a wuss.

Now just looking forward to some decent weather to enjoy it in, and joining it at some of the local meets.

Will add some of my own, but these are from the previous owners add. I'm so glad I made the effort to go to London to view it, as I have to admit that the pictures do not do it justice. In reality its gleaming, with perfect original paint and a chassis that looks like it's just come out of the factory. Full TVR Center history, since they sold it new, low mileage, and from the last service which they carried out just 400 miles ago, no problems with the engine, and no signs of wear on the top end.

Obviously colour came second after condition and history, but was really pleased when this one came up and a good colour. Not that there's any bad coloured TVR's....................Hmmmmmmmmm

Well the car looks fantastic, get yourself up to to show me as soon as possible could do with a good run out, let me know when your coming as the Cerb wheels are in for a paint job from next friday for a few days. Again congrats on a great looking car.

Oh you can maybe see your your sister for a few mins if you get time :-)

I know I am biased about the model, and they look good in any colour, but the first Tuscan I seen in the flesh in Jersey, was silvery coloured. The gorgeous lady passenger also diverted my eyes for a second, but nearly 9 years later they still look stunning each and every time you see one.
Long may they grace our roads and continue to give us the pleasure in driving them.

7 Months On...... No Major Problems, Spent quite abit on it, but that's just me being a perfectionist................. still loving it.

I thought you had got a spare one for a moment ! Yep expensive things arent they.

Did you ever get around and fit the sound proofing stuff?

Two......... LOL, I can only just afford one.

I've got the Dynamat Pack, but it's still un-opened in the spare bedroom....... Arghhh. I ended up spending alot more time on the chassis and suspension over the winter, than I intended but I will get on too it soon. Just need some bad weather for a week so I don't get tempted to take it out, and can get stuck into the interior. Looks like at least weeks work to do it properly (Neatly), removing and replacing all the carpeting and trim, so keep hesistating thinking I might want to use the car mid job, which would be abit of a pain with no interior trim in it.

Plus driving up to Chatsworth for the meeting, so don't want to start the job and only be mid way through it when it's time to drive up to Chatsworth. So looking good for starting it after the Chatsworth meet.
