BLOODY HELL, £8995, PLUS VAT, PLUS FITTING, thats about £13000 you could buy a lovely griff or chim for that money, who will pay that when some tuscans are not a lot more to buy WITH TVR POWER rebuilds....

Or have a TVR Power 4.3 Litre version for £7995+VAT + fitting.

Time for a power comparison - I see TVR Power states 427hp and 370ish lb/ft in the latest Sprint! magazine. What about the RG version? Surrey RR is just down the road from them...

Both the RG "bucket" and the Power "4.3" are daylight robbery. Do either come with billet cranks?

I paid £10,500 for a heavily modified billet stroked crank, reworked head with new cams and valves, Carrillo rods and new pistons and a mass of other high quality components with a close ratio box thrown in and a new clutch paid and fitted within that cost including all the engine fitting and mapping and that included the VAT.

If you pay that amount for them rebuilds you need your heads testing, there are engine builders out there that charge an honest days wage and don't have your eyes out with the parts.

Where did you get this done then? interesting to know, for when the rebuild creaps up on me.

They do an awful lot of work to the Head and that can't be cheap!! Also in their own words TVR leave the C-Chambers as cast! That's not very good unless the casting is of a very high grade.. So with RG work done on head, there are bound to be other unseen improvements in the performance, robustness of other components over the original. Only question is whether the bottom-end is as good as the head afterwards!! rolleyes

£8456.08 Inc VAT which doesnt sound too bad. Cant quite see how it can be +fitting as they actually have to bore out the engine. Doubt TVR power would be that cheeky.
