I bought my tuscan a while ago, and I have noticed that the oil temp takes about 6 miles until it reaches 50° by a water temp of approx 70°C, unless I drive in traffic, then both reach 'normal' relatively quickly, about 2-3miles.
I live in Germany and I can tell you it is not nice joining a motorway driving at 60mph in 5th keeping under 2500rpm, and the oil temp never going above 55°C on a day with temps around 20-25°C !!!
Now we have around 8°C in the mornings and the car doesn't reach even 50°C after 10-15miles.. there is too much air flow I guess. The water doesn't get much higher than 65°C.. I don'T want to block the pepperpot, as then in traffic it would get too hot, and the oil pressure would be below 7psi..(It does this in traffic with about 85° oil temp).
any tips?
