Ok I'm presuming you've checked the drivers door window fuse? Its number 7 I think. Otherwise, it could be the connector between the door and the bulkhead.

when mine went it was due to too much voltage being applied to the door ecu. No idea how it was fixed tho as dulford did it.

It sounds like you have swapped the door ECU's over to check if the passenger window then worked ok, right? Did you take off the door cards and swap the window motor encoders (small PCB with opto-isolator thingy fixed to the window motor) to see if the fault moved? Does the window drop when you press the open door button? If yes, does it seem to take ages to "think" about it before moving?

Is this problem with the door the same one you had a while back?

Your fault code H on your other thread indicates an air temp sensor problem. Have you had the airbox off recently? Maybe the air temp sensor fitted to the air box has become disconnected? Is the fault there all the while? Is the car suddenly running rough - disconnection of this sensor can cause running problems I think.

How come you've been without it for 10wks?

Andy

PS: I realise you are a bit miffed with these probs but can you turn the caps lock off mate? It hurts my eyes.... wink

Sorry mate, just not a computer genius! have tried all the things you said apart from the encoder which i really can only hope is the only failure left, swapped ecu, no change, checked all wires, fine and still nothing works when working window or opening door. As i said led flashes as other side though so i hope its the encoder! Funny you should say that as I had the air box out to change the coil pack (reason car wasnt run for months, couldnt get one, and water got in rocker, not sealed!!!) Code H has only shown since putting it back togeter and car did seem juddery on acceleration last night for first, air box only went back together on tues night, lovely time of year for working on these cars! As you kinda said, these cars are so frustrating but just cant live without it! Cheers

Ok, it's still not clear to me, sorry - does the window move at all? If yes, does it just drop half way when you press the open door button after a little bit of "thinking" time? If yes, then it's almost defnitely the encoder or the wiring from the encoder, through the main door connector through to the door ECU.

Are you able to whip the main bonnet off to check if the air temp sensor is plugged back in ok?
