Dead battery after leaving it for six weeks
Discussion
Got my MK2 on a Acumate Trickle Charger. Left it for six week and today it wouldn't turn over. The trickle charger is showing a green light showing that it's connected to the battery I presume, but never goes amber to show charging. Possibly faulty accumate or is it more likely that the cigarette lighter socket isn't wired correctly?
Luckily I had a jump start kick which to my surprised worked a treat and got me out for a drive today.

Should be on 12 volts, and as per other post if the connection is not good the amber/green light will not illuminate. I have a preference for connecting mine up via the Anderson connector which is more direct to the battery. The only issue I have had in 8+ years of using an Accumate is with a defective battery which gave the symptoms you describe.

it should be on the 12v setting, I'd imagine that's why it wasn't charging,
