Roll hoop trim removal (mk1 / targa)

Has anyone successfully removed and refitted the interior trim on the inside of the rear roll / targa hoop? I need to replace a broken lens on my high level brake light, but don't want to butcher the interior if there's any easier way to do it.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would be interested on how this is done, because my high level LED brake light doesn’t work. I have tried to access the LED unit from the interior light to check the connections and to test the power to the unit without success. I cannot seem to see how you remove the LED lens from either the front or back!

I haven't got the replacement yet, but it's a Hella of some sort, possibly a "2DA 007 657-001" looking at the catalogue. I'm sure there'll be a part number on there to confirm when I can extract the light from the trim, which hasn't been possible so far. The lens doesn't seem to come off easily, unless like mine it's been broken by the previous owner!
Think you'll find there's two WOOD SCREWS (tvrs are held together with them and chewing gum ,even Russian ones) hidden under the vinyl (doesnt look like leather to me even if TVR advertise it as) about a third of the way from the sides mid with. feel them with Ur fingers under the foam backed vinyl,you ll have to peel vinyl off the f,glass moulding then unscrew.light usually pop riveted to roll bar ..me thinks

I have another look tonight and am still unable to get to the light, because it appears that you have to peel back the black rubber gasket for the rear window, which appears to be glued to the vinyl. Obviously I do not want to pull this too much in case it splits the gasket or sags, causing leaks to the rear window.
You mentioned removing the two wood screws in the f'glass rollbar - what will this achieve?
I may interested in buying the new LED unit, but can you tell me if the power to it is fed directly into the back of the unit, or does it have fly leads and if so, how long they are, so that I can try and locate the tails of the leads in the trim without removing the LED light? Then I can test the power flowing to the unit, incase it is not actually a faulty LED unit.
Does anyone know if it has a separate fuse/relay, or where the power is fed from, so that I can test it at source?

Hi level brake light ?!?! I havnt got one of them !!!
Were they introduced to later Mk1's ? Mine is a 2000.
Must say I have always wondered why one was not fitted as it seems obvious to me if TVR were going to the trouble of fitting the indicators up there.
Any chance of a photo ?

They were not fitted to the MK1's until 2001/2, they look the same as the ones fitted to the MK2 though:-Were they introduced to later Mk1's ? Mine is a 2000.

I keep looking at the rear window rubber to see how easily it is to remove and then pill back the interior trim, but both appear to be stuck or glued down, and I don't want to remove this if it isn't necessary and leave the window gasket and trim left saggy.
