Reset after replacing sensor

Oil temp sensor has been replaced but the error remains, how is this reset? or if its still there is there still an issue?

If you can be a bit more specific, on what the problem is/was we might be able to help, i take it you have played with the POD, by pressing the main brass lights button and fog light switch?

Fault code I you mean? I had that code yesterday, looked at sensor and a wire had broke, soldered it back and the fault code went, no reset needed. Have you used the software and seen if the ecu is getting a temp signal and its just the dash one gone?

Its a car im looking to buy, the sensor was faulty so it was replaced, the oil temp now reads correctly but it is still showing the error code.
