Hey guys
Looks like I either A) really need a trickle charger or B) need a new battery. Had to get the RAC chap out to jump start the car.
He used one of those portable jump start things. Once I got her fired up I had a "EFI - Fault" on the LCD display. It stayed there until I got home. Parked in the garage turned off and then clicked the ignition and the fault had gone.
Any ideas what it means or did have its nickers in a twist?

A - Speedo sensor not activating zero switch or switch broken
B - Speedo sensor not releasing zero switch or switch broken
C - Water level sensor not activating zero switch or switch broken
D - Water level sensor not releasing zero switch or switch broken
E - Fuel level sensor not activating zero switch or switch broken
F - Fuel level sensor not releasing zero switch or switch broken
G - Water level sensor open circuit
H - Air temp sensor open circuit
I - Oil temp sensor open circuit
J - Oil pressure sensor open circuit
K - Fuel level sensor open circuit
L - Erratic road speed sensor input
O - No communications between analogue and control

Mine occasionally does this, i think in my case the throttles need setting up or one o2 is giving up as i have one exhaust with more coot on than the other. some people seem to get it after washing there car or if it gets very wet too. It should clear if you press the pod control button.
Sadly the fault codes are not much help with this one as no letter is diplayed.

Mine had a very flat battery recently and has been showing an EFI fault ever since.
She's in for a Service now and will be reset.
Thanks chap that must be the cause as it would have started with a near dead batt. I take it they just plug the laptop in and reset the error codes. I thought if you go into the Pod menu by pressing the main pod and fog button together and then scroll through the screens you will come across a "reset screen" if you press and hold the fog button for 5 seconds it will clear any stored error codes (providing there not still live), only thing is you have to reset your gear change light settings and time again.

Tried resetting and it still shows up. Looking at the battery voltage on the display it says 11.8 and then drops to 8 when I turn ignition could the ecu be confused and thinking the battery is flat? It says theres no faults when it it does its start up routine, only shows when engine is switched on.
Put a multimeter on the battery terminals and check voltage drop when cranking, Not sure but I think there should be no more than half a volt (0.5v)drop when cranking. Maybe battery is naff because when the engine is running and the alternator is charging there is no fault and correct voltage is seen on the pod.

I've used a jumper pack about 8 times on Tuscan and had no problems. If I was you I would buy the Data cable from Clever Trevor and download a copy of the ECU software so that you can check for faults for yourself.
It really is worth the 40quid to put you mind a rest
. 9 out of 10 times theres nothing wrong!

Right just an update, got her down to dulfords last night and had the ECU reset, aparently it was showing every error under the sun (so they knew something wasnt right). Aparently booster packs can sometimes cause this, seems right as rain now, best thing was they didnt even charge me for the hour of their time Now just to sort the passanger window and boot
